With the prevalence of gas-lift in the oil field, optimization has become the name of the game. With the Mini Production Logging Tool at our disposal, NLE has been working tirelessly to help optimize gas-lift setups with production logging.

Combining the cost effectiveness of slickline with the data produced by E-Line Production logs, Northern Lights has been on the forefront of testing and optimizing gas-lift wells. Utilizing the Mini Production Logging Tool, NLE has helped optimize 100’s of gas-lift operations in the last year alone. With in-house reporting, waiting for data is not something the client has had to worry about since we implemented the usage of this tool.

In conjunction with the Mini Logger, we have been able to incorporate our straddle packer into the mix as well. If the client fears that a gas-lift valve is stuck open, running a log that locates that gas lift, then setting a straddle packer can isolate that valve and effectively close it, allowing the well to kick production back up, without the high cost of a workover.
